die Unbeherrschbare Wut is a cheap Mai Kawasumi edit in which she has the task of breaking the engine's limit, using exploits and external files. This character is in continue development by a collab formed by minase, Choon, Cyber.x64 and Buraido. The character was started in late 2023.
In total, Wut has three levels:
- - Level N: Wut here is a normal character, she does not use exploits (except in some cases as effects or more) and she can be easily defeated by normal means.
- - Level C: Wut in this level is a cheap character, will use many %n codes and threaded attacks.
- - Level U: Ultranull version of Wut, showed in a test video. She can be beaten from Isolatos (Frosts) onwards.
Technologies
Wut has multiple tiers, the most important of which are Null, Supernull and Ultranull.
Null: Wut uses Variable Expansion and Null Overflow to defeat the enemy, and as mentioned above, these are used only in Level C. Wut's Null Overflow in this case is a little more special since it's a second faster than the classic Null Overflow, using another sctrl instead of Null.
In addition, she uses variable expansion to modify the engine's code, for DLL synchronisation, external effects, executing mini-shellcodes and modifying the enemy's data.
Supernull: used for loading her shellcode. The shellcode loads the DLL, modifies the engine's code, adds hooks, removes limits for palettes, hitcombos, variables (float and int). To do this, Wut uses all three buffer overflows: CMDOF, FBOF and DBOF. Her DLL is still for external effects, attacks and engine modification. This DLL is indispensable as Wut cannot function without it, making the engine very unstable.
Ultranull: Wut uses DLL Search Order Hijacking, a Windows' vulnerability, to instakill internal opponents without giving them time to load.
All this is obviously still in development, so it may change in the future.
